How to DIY Abstract Art Paint your Passage Wall

Passage ways are the first space that anyone sees once they enter the house. A plain and pale wall dulls the mood, and projects a boring personality. Thinking of brightening the walls with color and accessories is a smart idea to brighten up the room and add character to it.

You can add a classy edge to your entryway by placing a table on one side of the wall and decorating it with glass and marble pieces, including vases and trays.

The table with the background of white will make the whole idea dull as the decoration will just merge with the wall and not have any personality of their own. A DIY fix for such a situation is creating a fun and easy Abstract Art on the back facing the table or the back behind it.

You can follow the steps below for a step-by-step guide to add personality to your décor. Make a simple art using the time old technique of splashing paints on the surface.

1.      Decide the color palette you want to use for creating the abstract art

The first step is to make sure to choose and arrange the colors that will complement the table decorations, if you are going for gold, silver or nude accessories then don’t add too bright of a colors for the background as they will take all the attention off the main décor in front.

Use subtle hues instead like pastel colors, they will make not just the table décor deluxe but also make the whole space feel luxurious.

If the décor is white marble vases and pots then you can add a splash of bright colors to the wall.

2.      Cover everything so no splash during the painting gets on anything

After the palette is decided and the paints arranged, you can move on to the actual work.

Start by placing old newspapers or plastic sheets on the floor and the opposite wall so not to get any paint on it.

Painting a splash abstract art can fall on more than the area you are aiming at, so make sure to cover everything you want to protect from any paint.

3.      Splashing paint to create abstract art

Take small buckets or cans and fill them till half with your choice of paints. Stand a safe distance away from the wall and splash one color at a time.

You can throw the paints from different angles and directions to create the abstract painting.

4.      Add the finish touch and let the abstract painting set

If you want you can create edges and fine lines with a brush or leave it to its natural course. The paint will start dripping down the second it clashes with the wall. If you don’t want to add the drip your abstract art painting then you can paint a layer of white overtop once the paint dries.

Let the art set and dry. Open the main door or a nearby window to let air through.
